Conductor: Tomomi Nishimoto

New Japan Philharmonic

Barber: Adagio for Strings Op.11
Poulenc: Deux Marches et un Intermede
Elgar: Pomp and Circumstance No.1
Rimsky-Korsakov: Shéhérazade
Khachatryan: Walts ~Masquerade (encore)

I think "Barber: Adagio for Strings Op.11" was very suit for Tomomi. In her music, strings tone is always so beautiful. She is still young (middle of 30's at this concert), but this tune was so deep and had a subtle charm.

I feel Poulenc's pieces are also suit for her. I would like to listen his works much by Tomomi's conduct in the future.

"Elgar: Pomp and Circumstance No.1" is also suit for and express her, I think. Harp was so effective. During conducting this piece, confidence and dignity were shown on her back. I would like to have the recording of this performance.

"Khachatryan: Walts ~Masquerade" is found in the Tomomi's CD; "BORERO". You can listen ardent, impassioned, and warm music from her heart in this CD.

Iceskate,
Thanks very much for your reply. I wanted to find out about the Royal Philharmonic and Nishimoto and you answered before I asked! Many thanks.

Can I ask you if we could exchange a private e-mail to eachother? Do you have a private e-mail address that I could use?
(you don't have to post all of this message on Blogger! (I am still mgglawrence2000@yahoo.co.uk).
Many thanks in advance,
Maggie
