South Korean musical "Man of La Mancha" (Sep. 13th, Soirée)

This day's matinee was finished around 17 O'clock, and the soirée was started at 18:30.
In this soirée, "Cervantes and Don Quixote" were Mr. Cho Seung Woo, and "Aldonza and Dulcinea" were Ms. Chon Mido.
Ms. Chon Mido's high tones were beautiful.
"Sancho" seemed to the same actor as matinee. Both were so wonderful!!

In comparison between Mr. Ryu Jung-han's "Cervantes and Don Quixote" and Mr. Cho Seung-Woo's them, for Mr. Ryu Jung-han, it was "Cervantes" or "Don Quixote", but for Mr. Cho Seung-Woo, it was not "Cervantes" or "Don Quixote", they were also "Mr. Cho Seung-Woo" for me.....
I think the followings seems to be the reasons.
1) This time, I saw Mr. Ryu Jung-han for the first time.
2) I see Mr. Cho Seung-Woo's pictures, motion pictures, movies, TV dramas, or some news almost everyday recently, so Mr. Cho Seung-Woo has become "Mr. Cho Seung-Woo" in me....

I th…

South Korean musical "Man of La Mancha" (Sep. 13th, Matinee)

South Korea Seoul D Cube Art Center

As the same as the previous time, the all Seoul people I met this time were so kind and warm.
It was really enjoyable stay in Seoul!!

I saw this movie as the preparation of this musicl for words.

D Cube Art Center was a nice high-quality hall. Service in English language was also complete.
The lobby was full of this musical's displays.
"Man of La Mancha" is 10-years anniversary this year.

This time, the pamphlet have been prepared, but it would be better if there were English descriptions even only for important parts.
(The 10-years anniversary thick version was released later.)

On this day, I could see both the matinee and the soirée.
In the Matinee, "Cervantes and Don Quixote" wer…

Luckily, I was able to get this valuable CD.
Casts for "Cervantes / Don Quixote" are Mr. Cho Seung Woo ( and Mr. Jeong Seong Hwa (
Not only the casts for "Cervantes / Don Quixote", but all casts in this CD also are great in their singing.

I have never seen this musical in Japan, so I hear all music pieces of this musical through this CD.
I feel almost these pieces are friendly and easy songs to get into.

I visited Seoul to see this musical in the middle of September.
(I will write the articles after.)
So, this CD was a nice preparation for the appreciations.

When I searched the Japanese text of these songs, I accidentally found out this motion picture.
It is "MAN OF LA MANCHA" sung by Ms. Seiko Niizuma (
I think her singing is also great!…

Kanon Matsuda Piano Recital

April 7, 2015

Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall

Here is her profile (in Japanese) and a performance motion picture.
She is slender but her performance is strong and manly.

She went to Moscow at 6 years old to study playing piano, and the first Japanese pianist who publish her CD from the Deutsche Grammophon.

The pieces in this recital were Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Skryabin, Schumann, Tchaikovsky, and Pachelbel.
Above all, I think these Chopin' piece (ballade No.1 and polonaise No.6) performances are very fantastic.
Also, Pachelbel's canon are very famous and I like this very much. This performance was arranged by Mr. Ken Fujimitsu, and this arrangement was also very fantastic.
Adding, this piece became very gorgeous and moving by Kanon's performance.

I like her strong, straight, reliable, and pure piano sound.

Ustream Distribution: Electone Player Naoko Hirota Live "Heartful Story"

March 8, 2015

ELectone (YAMAHA electric organ): Naoko Hirota
Bandonion: Satoshi Kitamura

As it was an Ustream distribution, I watched this concert drinking teas in my home.

The first piece of this concert was "full of life".
This is Noako Hirota's original piece.

Collaboration with Mr. Satoshi Kitamura (Bandonion); "Tender Memories"
This is also her original piece.
For some reason I started crying listening this music.....

Other piece of this collaboration; "Rouge".
This is also her original.
This title means "Red of Passion", too. It is big scale and splendid music and performances.

The three motion pictures above are performed by Ms. Naoko Hirota herself and Mr. Satoshi Kitamura himself.

Other pieces in this concert are as follows.

- Elgar "Salut d'amour" Samba arrangement
- Her original relating to a dog
- Her original "Belle Lumiere"
This motion picture is performed by some electone student, not Naoko Hirota. I …

《CD》Hongcert Live Album (Mr. Hong Kwang Ho's First Concert)

I wrote about him in the bottom of this article ( before.
This is a set of CD, DVD, and the picture book of Mr. Hong Kwang Ho's first concert.
I was able to get it thanks to Mr. Cho Seung Woo's fan friends.

Currently, we can get it through

In this CD and DVD, he seems to be an Opera singer....., and he can play a piano and a saxophone.....
I imagine he has hothousing of music from early childhood.
In the site above, we can listen the first one minute of each song in this CD.
Song Number 12; "This is The Moment" from "Jekyll & Hyde" is no less liked by everybody because it has five stars.

In this CD, I like "Honesty" best. It is a very famous song and I listened it by various singers, so I was able to recognize well how splendid Mr. Hong Kwang Ho's singing is in this piece.

The concert hall is so big a…

DVD: Musical [Okepi!] (Orchestra Pit!)

As I wrote at the bottom of the article below, Mr. Cho Seung Woo will appear on stage of this musical South Korean versions in December 2015.

I have not seen this musical in Japan, so I got this DVD.

This is a set of three DVDs. The first and second are the musical main story of 2003 year Japan version, and the third is the making.

Japanese top musical actors and actresses at the time appear in this stage, and it is spectacular, the story is interesting and has messages for audiences.

The actor for the role of "the conductor" is very good at conducting. He is almost like a real conductor.

I think the singing by Mr. Akira Fuse as "Oboe" is splendid!!

All in all, I could enjoy this musical, but I think the amount of songs and dancing are relatively low and it has many lines…

South Korean musical "2014-2015 Jekyll & Hyde" (Dec. 7th)

The previous day's article is here.

Jekyll & Hyde: Mr. Cho Seung Woo (
Lucy: Ms. Lina (
Ema: Ms. Cho Jeongeun

* Second spot motion picture:

"Ema" was a different cast from the previous day's. Even if only one main cast differ, impression for the whole musical differed much.
All in all, the casts in the previous day were better, I think.

I felt this day's "Jekyll" was a little easily angered.... Was Mr. Cho Seung Woo a lack of sleep and/or rest???

Ms. Lina as "Lucy" was so splendid this day, too!!!

In both days, exchanges to the tickets from ticket confirmations were no problem, however, I was asked "How many tickets?" in both days though the number of needed tickets were described rightly in the ticket confirmat…

South Korean musical "2014-2015 Jekyll & Hyde" (Dec. 6th)

@BLUE SQUARE Samsung Electronics Hall

Jekyll & Hyde: Mr. Cho Seung Woo (
Lucy: Ms. Lina (
Ema: Ms. Lee Ji Hye

* Casts introduction

* 2014-5 year version digest motion picture

A miracle(?) happened.
I was luckily able to get tickets of this legendary South Korean musical performed by Mr. Cho Seung Woo for the second day in succession!
So, recently, relations between South Korea and Japan are not good, but I decided to visit Seoul first time ever to see these.

I arrived this musical hall about two hours before the beginning of the show.
At first, I found many ten-years celebrated decorations and set buildings of this musical and took pictures of them.
This decorations are also on each door of elevators and restrooms!!

Also, I wanted to have a progr…
